Dark Displays after Update

Recommended Posts

Hi,

After updating the 747 it seems that my displays has gotten quite a bit darker. This problem also applies to the 747-8. Even at max brightness for the displays it seems quite dark 🤔.

Thanks.

This function didn't change. Either you've changed a shader mod, changed HDR settings, or you're using an old panel state with the brightness turned down (or just an old panel state in general).

Jonathan,

We have added a feature that compensates for the HDR lighting effect that in the previous version resulted in too bright and washed-out colors in the displays and flood lights. If you go to the PMDG SETUP>SIMULATION OPTIONS you will find a relevant option from where you can either turn off this new feature or adjust it's intensity.

Thank you mfranz!

I had the same issue and this solved it, had nothing to do with panel states or shaders.

Very useful and informative.

Excellent customer care!
