About Me

  • About Me
When I'm not executing white knuckle crosswind landings at airports much too small for my aircraft, I like to hit the ice and put the biscuit in the basket, light the lamp, and preferably put it on the top shelf where mom hides the thin mints

  1. I have searched through the manual and forums and I simply cannot find anywhere if there is a way to change the seating configuration of the 747-400 PAX (i.e. 4/3/2 class configurations). Apologies if this has been covered but after searching high an low I'm at a loss.
  2. Whelp I tried everything today and I kept getting CTD becasue of dsound.dll. Thus, have just gone with the nuclear option. I did a full uninstall of the sim and all addons. VERY FRUSTRATING but also a bit of a cathartic experience. Going to have to take a few weeks to let the anger subside then I'll maybe try to install again....maybe not.
  3. Jim thanks for the informative answer. I have a suspicion that it could be the PMDG 737-700 that could be causing trouble as the error seems to happen moving from the virtual cockpit to spot view. I'm going to reinstall with Admin privileges and see if that doesn't do the trick. My other relevant addons running at the time of the crashes: AS ASCA Aerosoft Simwings Madrid Professional FTX GLOBAL FTX VECTOR FTX LC EUROPE GSX LEVEL 2
  4. I cannot get P3d to run for more than 30 minutes and get CTDs after going through LM's debuggin steps and searcing extensively in this forum. Have tried reducing settings, scaling back my overclock but still getting this error every time I fly. Sound flickers and stutters before the CTD. Dark Displays after Update

Thank you mfranz! I had the same issue and this solved it, had nothing to do with panel states or shaders. Very useful and informative. Excellent customer care!

MyTraffic - Often No Response to ATC

I wasn't aware of Burkhard's health issues. Thanks for the update.

MyTraffic - Often No Response to ATC

I feel like Burkhard should be making these fixes not us. After all, this was payware.
  8. Great job! I look forward to continuing to purchase your products for years to come!
  9. The short solution worked...thank you very much
  10. Thanks I'll definitely give this a try tonight when I get home. Seems pretty ridiculous for something that should just work out of the box.
  11. I just switched the USB port for my Saitek Pro Throttle Quadrant and now it completely doesn't work. I searched this and other forums and tried everything including manually installing the driver through device manager. I have gone through and deleted all Saitek drivers I have tried every USB port I have tried everything and it is driving me nuts. The throttles were working fine until I just switched the damn USB port now it won't install. I get to the screen where it tells you to plug in device but it doesn't recognize anything. When I try manually installing the drivers over the usb generic or the saitek pro throttle quadrant in device managers I get this: Install Attempt

    P3D v 4 in beta?

v4 is just a band-aid...what I'm really looking forward to is P3D v5 which I heard will be 128 bit...finally we will have a smooth sim with 635 FPS @ 9k resolution on VR with FTX Interplanetary Base and Vector installed with the PMDG Airbus 350 and MyTraffic Live set to every airplane in the world
  14. Wow thanks for taking the time to fill me in! Really appreciate it, I will go with PTA to start off and see where it takes me, really excited to see how much of a boost going from i7-860 OCed to 4ghz/GTX 970 to i7-6700K/GTX1070 will give me.
