g2d.dll issues

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I have been having issues for about the last week where my FSX-SE has been crashing at random times, sometimes during a flight and sometimes when loading. The reason is always g2d.dll. I was looking for solutions online but none of them seem to have worked. Can you please help. Here is the crash report:

This indicates settings (fsx and/or video card) are set too high and/or a bad module being loaded by the dll.xml. More info, page 34, AVSIM CTD Guide.  You can return the fsx.cfg to the default by renaming it to fsx.off.  A new one will be rebuilt with default settings.  The dll.xml loads several modules too and one of them may be corrupted or missing.  Rename the dll.xml to dll.off.  A new one will NOT be rebuilt in FSX.  If this fixes your problem then you need to find the module that caused the error.
