Disabling Linda in FSUIPC?

Recommended Posts

How to disable Linda in FSUIPC.ini? Which line do I need to comment out?

Thanks

You need to remove or comment out the runif LINDA line in the FSUIPCx.ini [PROGRAMS] block AND remove or rename the LINDA.LUA file in the modules folder. The first part can be done by unchecking the Run with Sim option in LINDA setup.

You must then close the LINDA GUI and restart your flt sim.

What if I only comment out runif LINDA line?

Basically I never use LINDS GUI when I fly, I understand FSUIPC picks up LINDA.LUA and starts communication with it. When I don't want to use the FCU I'd like just to switch FSUIPC.ini automatically (in SIMstarter), hence my question about FSUIPC.ini.

Thanks.

Commenting out the [PROGRAMS] will stop the GUI starting but would allow the LUA part to load and work in the background. This is fine unless you use the Saitek panels.

I see. I don't use Saitek panels but I wouldn't like the LUA run in the background, so I'll have to automate the renaming of LUA.

Thanks.

Your choice. Most LINDA users run it all the time.
