August 10, 200619 yr After a little doctoring I managed to top 274409ft (See below). Be sure to increase your monitor brightness to get the full effect:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/153711.jpg...and another lower down from the cockpit:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/153712.jpg
August 10, 200619 yr It's a shame that the cabin pressurization panel doesn't work yet. I bet it got awfully airless up there.
August 10, 200619 yr I couldn't tell personally but the cabin alerts stopped at 270000ft heheI noticed at about 270000ft the aircraft lost all its ability to manoeuvre which would suggest that thrusters would then be needed as they are in real life. Also, the gravity still pulled me back down :)TerraBay: After doctoring the thrust_scaler to 5.0 it only took me about 2 mintues to get up there :( BEWARE though, it does become a handfull!
August 10, 200619 yr >How to avoid the "Timeout, bye bye" message with such a long>trip upwards ?Slew or time compression, I would assume.

August 11, 200619 yr Hrmm, the horizon is curved....does that mean the FSX world is round?NM. Tdragger answered in another thread: The "UFOs" are a result of FS having a truly "round" earth now and the lighting effects had not been updated to use the correct math. This should be fixed in the final product.Get the inside scoop of Flight Simulator X:http://blogs.msdn.com/tdragger/
August 11, 200619 yr Space, the final frontier...Hey this got me thinking... Maybe we could have a space ship one like mission? Or are rocket engines not able to be simulated in FSX?
August 11, 200619 yr i love the terrain in that shot, just plain blue and white, fly to mars. if the code is better there, i will fly there also.heheheheheheehhehe
August 12, 200619 yr Author Flying at FL300 is much nicer -- not nearly so tile pattern as FS9. Water is much better. Earth clearly curved.scott s..
