Distance of Range Rings

Featured Replies

Alex, hello

Thank you for your excellent program.

Is it possible to reduce the distance of the range rings below 50NM?

No matter what I place in 'Range Ring Radi for Red Range Rings', it seems to default to the minimum of 50NM.

Appreciate any assistance.

Before Alex replies, just my 2c... You can change the radius of range rings under Options -> Map -> Range ring radii for red range rings (nm)

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your response.

This is exactly where I am attempting to change the distance but any change from the default numbers does not appear to take.

Perhaps I am changing the numbers incorrectly or in an incorrect format.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Folks

I have played around with this and it now appears to work!  Perhaps a restart did it.

Can you confirm that the smallest difference is 1NM.  i.e. you cannot indicate 1.5NM radi. etc.

Given that this is so, is there any chance that 0.5NM increments would be possible in future updates?

Thank you for your attention.

Great piece of software, Alex.

Hi Jock,

you probably ran into "it is saved as it is" issue. You have to add new distance rings to see the new values. Everything already added remains as it is.

I can allow smaller increments but then I have to delete all saved rings on the next update since the settings format would change.

Will take a note of that.
