Chaseplane broken now with v.1.0.16...

Featured Replies

Just fired up my sim and now I cannot pan around the VC with my middle mouse button, cannot select any view presets for the aircraft and the process "ChasePlane_Bridge" is now consuming over 2GB of memory and climbing constantly.

Can we please revert back to the previous version????  I can't even fly now.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Todd

Update:  As soon as that "ChasePlane_Bridge" hits just over 3GB of RAM consumption, the main ChasPlane process dies but the bridge is still running.

Todd

Try restarting your computer. Let me know if the issue persists

Just tried the reboot and no go.  Still the same issue.  There's now a long pause between when the plane is loaded to when ChasePlane kicks in with initial view on startup.

Something is not right.  I was using it maybe an hour ago or so and it was running fine.  You must of just pushed this new update out?

Todd

Try disabling Advanced Features from the Preferences for now as we trace down the issue

That worked!  Didn't know if I was going to get to the Preferences.  It was freezing and acting all weird.

Thanks!

I stand corrected... the bridge process is still climbing in RAM consumption.

Not quite back to normal yet.

Just restarted (killed) CP and the process is no longer climbing anymore.

The transition between views are no longer a smooth motion.  It's instant change now.

I have found the cause of the issue, I'm working on a fix right now

Can you enable Experimental versions in the Preferences and test the new build?

If you are still seeing issues (unresponsive camera or error message) please generate a Report file from the Preferences and send it to me via PM

Thanks

Sorry Kevin, had to drop off last night and I'm currently at work at the moment.  I'll give it a try this evening when I'm back home.

Thanks for the quick response last night!  Great support!

Cheers,
Todd

Hey Kevin,

Just updated to 1.0.19 and it's working again.  I enabled advanced features and the smooth transitions between preset views are back.  No more memory leak.  Working normally.

Thanks again!

Todd.

Cheers,
Todd
