December 12, 20187 yr That RAM is 3000 MHz at CAS 16, which has a (high/slow) true latency of 10.67 ns...it's an undermatch for a 9700K. True latency is ~ 2000 x CAS level / freq (MHz). Shoot for 9-10 ns, no higher than 10ns (lower is better). The WD Green drives are low performance 5400 RPM HDDs optimized to conserve power. They are also an undermatch for a performance system. If you really want an HDD instead of an SSD, I'd go with the 7200 RPM WD Caviar Black with a 64 or 128MB cache. No mention of power supply--recommend a Gold/Platinum/Titanium rated 750W or larger PSU. Win 10 Home entails getting automatic updates that have in the past broken things. Win 10 Pro gives you the ability to defer updates long enough that if there's a problem you can avoid having it forced on you before it's fixed.
