August 14, 200619 yr Hello,I have tried adding the Justflight/Getmapping uk vfr photoscenery to the demo but the ground still appears as black liquid. Heathrow buildings and runways are ok. Will this be a problem with the full product ?
August 14, 200619 yr Moderator Paul,As the demo only includes scenery for a few Caribbean islands there's no point adding scenery for different parts of the world. Wait until you have the full product and I'm sure everything will be fine. Ray (Cheshire, England). August 14, 200619 yr As an experiment I moved the FS9 St Maarten photo scenery to FSX and disabled the FSX version and it worked fine - this would seem to bode well for the Visual Flight scenery and similar VFR sceneries. But as others have said we'll have to wait until the full release to find out for certain.Chris
August 14, 200619 yr Easy just add your add-on scenery as ussual with the scenery library option....It also helps to add some of the standard FS2004 scenery so you get the AFCAD's which make the airport available in the GUI (EURW for example)Problem is the pure black terrain you get. I even tried to copy over fs9 general texture folder but it didn't make a difference. Its a shame I would love to try the demo with the full standard FS9 terrain to get an impression about the performance of the FSX exe.Brings back memories from the use FS2000 scenery with the CFS2.EXE (those where the days :-) )
August 14, 200619 yr The old sceneries will probably work but I expect the developers will want to realease new versions that take advantage of some of the rendering and performance work we've done in FSX.
