excessive mouse speed

when inputting data into my 737ngx fmc, on clicking the selected field the fmc races ,either to the next page(s) or to multiple duplicated numbers. This only occurs when setting up the fmc. All other settings are ok. very frustrating when having to cancel and repeat actions.

any suggestions please?

FSX or P3D? How do you load the aircraft, are you using a default aircraft in the default flight/scenario?  Specifically, what field are you selecting?  Are you entering numbers via CDU panel or from the keyboard?
