August 11, 200619 yr Wow, great find. When I set it up (400), I get a huge performance boost. It's not too much trouble to do that every time I start the game for the improvement it gives.Maybe this should be sticky'd?

I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to write a batch file that overwrites the file with the 400 setting every time.
August 11, 200619 yr Has anyone tried to right click the file, and make it read only?I assume that FSX will not be able to change it then

August 11, 200619 yr There's some info about it here:http://www.steve-lacey.com/blogarchives/20..._stutters.shtmlNow I'm no longer sure that setting (or the other sliders) have any effect in the demo. I know changing the AI slider on my computer doesn't appear to actually change the amount of AI when I save a config file and then open it in Notepad to check it out. I do believe the option in the Display window (where you can select overall settings up to ultra high) affects things, but none of my other sliders will visually move when I click and drag them. (After moving it by keyboard commands, I do know for sure the framerate lock and global texture size sliders in the Display window affect things.)"Let me help you out.
