February 4, 20197 yr Hi Andrew, I'm back again. I deleted the config-mcp2.lua (there was only one in the PMDG 737 directory) and after that I started Linda and P3D. A new lua file was created. No result. Then I downloaded the Linda 3.0.11 test build and put that in the modules directory. Started Linda and P3D. Still no result. Now there was no repsonse of anything not in the cockpit and in the panel. So if I change the SPD, HDG, ALT of V/S in the aircraft or on the MCP panel nothing happens. The only radio COM1 I see on the panel reacts to changes in the cockpit. Changing COM1 on the panel gives no result in the cockpit. Hope to hear from you. Thanks, Hans Edited February 4, 20197 yr by Hans_11
February 4, 20197 yr Hi Hans My testing today showed that the VRIDisableCMDRST=Yes switch for FSUIPC 5.15h overcomes the one problem of avoiding disconnecting the panel. However, it fails to read any inputs from the panel - not very helpful. None of the knobs/buttons will work. I have fed this back to the FSUIPC Developer. When I set the switch to No all inputs and outputs work for me. There was also an error with the previous build of LINDA 3.0.11 v2 which would have stop FSX Default aircraft working for fresh installations. For your situation, try the latest LINDA 3.0.11 v3 test build and turn off the FSUIPC5.ini switch (VRIDisableCMDRST=No). Then restart P3D with a default aircraft. February 4, 20197 yr Hi Andrew, I did this: For your situation, try the latest LINDA 3.0.11 v3 test build and turn off the FSUIPC5.ini switch (VRIDisableCMDRST=No). Then restart P3D with a default aircraft. What I see on my panel is 'MCP-II/Boeiing type v1.100 VRinsight, Flight dream Supplier!' and 'instrument radio via VRiSim'. I don't see SPD, HDG, ALT of V/S and com1 on my panel anymore. It looks like Linda does nog activate anyting.

That confirms you are experiencing the same issue as the others. I am hoping for another FSUIPC test version to restore the panel read functionality before we can progress with the investigation. February 4, 20197 yr Author Hi Andrew, Just to let you know.....with the new 3.0.11 v3 test version the default aircraft are still not working with the MCP Combo. It's just like the Leonardo MD82 or PMDG B738....the numbers are there but can not change them. Most of the time when i change the numbers in the aircraft they are also changing in the MCP combo. Also, pressing the LAMP button disconnects the MCP Combo (wich we knew) but i am not able to press the Lights on before starting Linda, because the the LAMP button is not working (in "sleep"mode) Regards, Ben

Hi Ben There is still an outstanding issue with the test build of FSUIPC5 which I am trying to get sorted with the developer. What I did not mention before I had to leave this morning was I needed you to delete a file with the latest 3.0.11 v3 installed. Go to /modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/default FSX and delete config-mcp2.lua. There should be a config-mcp2.default in the folder. This will reinstate the correct configuration when you next run LINDA. I also noted in your last FSUIPC5.ini that there is a GF device also assigned to COM3. This should be changed to avoid any conflict. February 4, 20197 yr ALL. Please check the power supply for your panel. Report the voltage and ampere rating. Andrew Gransden Scotland, UK LINDA Support/Developer - VATSIM and BAVirtual - Airbus Flyer i7 1TB SSD GTX980 - FSX/P3D - Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 - FS2Crew
February 5, 20197 yr Hi Andrew, On my power adapter is: AC100-240V,50/60Hz,0,3A & DC 5V 1.0A. I can't imagine this is the issue. With the VRI software everything works fine.

Thanks Hans. I don’t know why 3 users have reported problems caused by a ‘power spike’. As an engineer, I am only going through a logical course of elimination. If you use the VRSim.exe software and input the command CMDRST or operate the lights it is likely that your panel will stop responding. Why? I don’t know so it is wrong to say that the VRI software is working fine. I am trying to get further changes to FSUIPC to help our investigation. February 5, 20197 yr Andrew I don't have a technical background. With VRI software working fine I mean when I fire up this software and P3D the knobs and buttons work (both ways). I rather would like to use the Linda software so I'll wait for your next update. FYI: When I give in the VRI software the commands CMDRST, CMDCON, CMDVER, CMDFUN, TSTON, TSTOFF, LITON they all seem to work except the LITOFF which seems to do nothing. February 5, 20197 yr ALL I have been supplied with this latest test build of FSUIPC 5.15i. This version allows FSUIPC and LINDA to read the VRI Combo's knob and switch inputs. I have tested it for functionality on my system and it works (this time). Please unzip it and copy it into your /modules folder. Also ensure that the switch: VRIDisableCMDRST=Yes is inserted in the [General] section of your fsuipc5.ini file and save. Ensure that you use Yes (not yes or true). Then restart P3D and LINDA. Check your MCP Combo page to check and report the assigned functions. Let me see your fsuipc5.log and the config-mcp2.lua file for the aircraft (look in /modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/{your aircraft}/. I recommend using a default aircraft (Default FSX) for testing. February 5, 20197 yr Andrew I sent you an e-mail. I did some testing with the Mooney Bravo and all seems oke. In the PMDG 737-800 however not all knobs and button are working. It would be great if you can have this fixed or fix it. Many many thanks for all your effort. The e-mail contains the MCP combo screenshots and the log and lua files of both planes.
