February 9, 20197 yr I have a friend who used to play FS 2002 on a Windows computer. He is interested in getting back to flying again but now owns a Mac. I know it is possible to install Windows in a separate partition in a Mac computer. However I would like to know how well FSX runs on a Mac compared to a regular Windows computer. Thank you in advance for any input. I don't know my friend's Mac computer yet, but I would be interested in others' experience what the CPU expectation would be for the sim to run mostly smoothly with high settings. I assume a 3.5 GHz Mac processor would not necessarily be able to run FSX at the same level as a PC that happens to use the same processor, but I hope I am wrong.
