February 17, 20197 yr I've been having an issue with my sound files for the carriers. I have AICarriers installed, but the issue is the same for AICarrier and default ships. I'm able to hear the cable catch when I land, but the blast shield and catapult sounds do not play. They do exist in my FSX directory and in my Nimitz file in SimObjects/Boats, the sound.cfg has the code for the blast shield and catapult, but not the cable(but that's the one that works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Any idea why the sound files are not being found?

Did you follow the guidance at the following site - http://nikkiwaif.tripod.com/? Would guess you did not put the contents of the sound file into the FSX/Sound folder. You did not indicate the version of the Nimitz file but I would recommend the following - https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/8/203 Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
