June 30, 200619 yr A lot of airports in real life have a prefered runway for landing even with a tailwind.I wonder if it will be possible to persuade FSX ATC for clearance to land with a tail wind?..or even better write into an Afcad that a specific runway with up to a certain amount of tailwind component is the prefered Rwy for landing. :) regardsCapt. July 11, 200619 yr Author Hi,If the runway has an ILS only at one end, that end will be preferred by ATC until the tailwind reaches about 8 kts.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
