Hi 

when I try to install just flights dc-8 into p3dv4 i get this error message

I have  looked around and it seems to be a common problem 

Some of the answers have been to rename the installshield folder in c/program files/common files, but that folder is nonexistent for me.

I have also done the usual (turn off antivirus, make sure no other programs are running, run it as admin) but no help.

I also have this problem with justflights other products.

Help is much appreciated.

Hi There, this is an INSTALLSHIELD Error.

Fix it as follows:

Go to c:\ program files \ common files \ and find the following folder: InstallShield

Make a backup of the folder InstallShield and then delete it.

Attempt to install the add-on again, However, I RECOMMEND recopying the InstallShield folder to its original location after installing the software; this can make some other software (some software already installed in your computer before) which requires Install Shield to install be able to run properly.

Another possibility is that the installation file is corrupted, have you re-download it?

Check also your antivirus logs to see if it is stopping the installation process.

Maybe the folder is in Program Files (x86) instead of Program Files??  Mine is.

It was in Program Files (x86). all fine now.
