MCE Update for Checklists

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is there anyway when we update MCE using the correct update procedure, that the checklists and can be kept? I have edited the checklists in some planes and each time I update, I lose them and have to re-write them.

Thanks

Sorry about that.

Never edit one of the files put there by the installer, as it is supposed to remove it (unless it is renamed).

Rather copy one of the files, paste it to \My documents\ folder, rename it if you wish and edit it there.

Ahhhh ok - and then change it using the 'change' button? Will I have to do this each time a new version is installed as well?

The custom checklist path will be saved to "mce.ini".

Bear in mind it applies to a specific livery, even with same aircraft.

Assignment is lost when you restore MCE to factory settings.

Custom checklist (assuming it's a different file from the ones that ship with package) is never lost though.

You would just need to re-assign it.
