August 6, 200520 yr And given that the Hawk is a single engined aircraft that was the absolute worst time to have a bird strike. Nothing could have been done to recover that.Its quite unlucky as well, the Hawk has very small cheek intakes. The most common birdstrike damage to Hawks is to the canopy.
