A question about PMDG 737 NGX end flight

Hi, I am a 100% beginner, may I ask you a question: After I click on end flight when flying PMDG 737 NGX, the FSX doesn't go to the main screen, instead it restarts itself. Is this normal? Or sth wrong with the program...Should I use Ctrl + C to exit the whole FSX instead of ending flight?

Welcome to the AVSIM forums!   Normally a PMDG question can be asked in the User to User PMDG forum, but since you are also asking your question in regards to FSX. this forum is fine.  Does this happen with any other aircraft, default or 3rd party?

Are you hitting the Escape key first and then clicking on "end program" and not accidentally hitting "continue flying"?

There is a known problem with the PMDG 737 when shutting down.  Since it does not affect the operation of the aircraft, it is a low priority fix.  See page 37, AVSIM CTD Guide for more information.
