June 4, 20197 yr Author Thank's for the tip Matthew. Right now I'm reading Edward Abbey's The Monkey Wrench Gang about a middle aged doctor, his hot nurse, and ex-Green Beret, and a Colorado River rafting guide who have teamed up in Utah to be eco-terrorists destroying heavy equipment building a highway across the desert and other mischief. I'm at the apart now where they are going to blow up the automated coal train that runs from the coal pits to the power plant at Page AZ. I'm a big fan of Edward Abbey since he and I think alike on saving the southwestern desert wilderness. For TV fare I watch Law and Order re-runs. I love to swear at the defense attorneys trying to put murderers back on the street. It fits in with my opinion of our justice system. I liken it to a professional sport where the prosecutor and defense attorney are opposing teams who are looking to win at any cost. The judge is the referee and the jury is the silent cheering section. The defendant is just the game ball. I know that is perverse, but sometimes I'm just a perverse kind of guy. I have been on two juries and was the foreman of each. I recall walking back into the courtroom after we reached the verdict. I made eye contact with the defense counsel and he just looked down and shook his head. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
