June 3, 20197 yr Hello, I updated my PC changing motherboard and processor. I reinstalled x-plane 11 (11.34), copied the aircraft folders I had previously saved and now the GTN650 and GTN750 no longer work. I have already tried to uninstall everything (Garmin trainer, GTN650 and GTN750) and redo a complete installation from scratch with the 2.5.17 but without success. I have several planes where 650/750 were configured but none work. Black screen on everyone, regardless of the power option. Any suggestions? June 3, 20197 yr Make sure you delete the preferences content. This is usually needed after hardware change, but also may be needed when you update versions. June 3, 20197 yr Author Thanx Jude, I reinstalled x-plane from scratch and copied back only the joystick preferences, so I don't think that's the problem but I can try to delete them again and see what happens. June 5, 20196 yr Hi, Can you confirm you've reinstalled using the e-commerce installer? And like any other problem, it is easier starting with the diagnostic information available. Can you please post the content of the RXP log files (see user's manual for file/path)?
June 6, 20196 yr Author Hi Jean-Luc, yes, I can confirm that I have reinstalled from the e-commerce installer (rxpGTN-750-XPL.exe). I have now enabled the log (DebugValue = 1 and LogTrainer = 1) and I enclose the results. rxpGtnSim.dll.log: 19/06/06 09:09:04.068 08860 - ] # rxpGtnSim64.dll version 2.5.17.0 19/06/06 09:09:04.067 08860 INFO ] 19/06/06 09:09:24.513 08860 INFO ] GTN 750.1 - TRAINER 6501 19/06/06 09:11:06.565 08860 INFO ] GTN: 01 ..\..\src\krnl\krnl_lib\sim\hwm_nand_drvr_sim.c(827) (null) rxpGTN.xpl.log: 19/06/06 09:09:01.956 08860 - ] # win.xpl version 2.5.17.0 19/06/06 09:09:01.955 08860 INFO ] Thanks for your attention. June 6, 20196 yr Hi, The log indicates the issue is most likely related to running the simulator as-admin once. Please download and install the just-released v2.5.18. Once installed, you'll have to run the simulator with GTN v2.5.18 at least once as-admin and it will adjust the Windows access rights automatically and permanently even if you run as a normal user afterward.
June 6, 20196 yr Author thank you for your prompt assistance. I installed the 2.5.18 and followed the directions. The solution worked.
