Additional Default Aircraft

Featured Replies

Can we expect to see any new default aircraft in X-plane 11?

Terry

I don't recall seeing any new default aircraft introduced during the last two versions, so my guess would be that it's unlikely. The default aircraft in XP11 serve as test beds for the flight model changes introduced during the current cycle, and there are enough different types for that.

The only hints I've heard about something new, were in relation to Austin's comments maybe 6 months ago (?) about how Laminar had been working on a simulation of the Airbus flight control system for an outside contractor. Apparently that's now in the XP11 code. There was speculation that we might see a default Airbus as a result, but AFAIK nothing has happened on that front. It might be something Laminar would reserve for XP12 as a selling point, if it exists at all.

That would be good and or maybe a biz jet like a Citation or Gulfstream.
