July 3, 20196 yr Following on from my previous post (here) and after a little pause, I'm back to complete my A340 series starting with an aside. I've just arrived in Heathrow and noticed Air Canada operating a 737 there. Further investigations reveal they do (did, now, this was flown at the end of last year) a service to St Johns in Newfoundland on a 737. Initially I believe they used a conventional (albeit ETOPS) 737NG, more recently they switched to a MAX and right now, obviously, it's not running. A glorious winter morning at Heathrow as we load up the iFly 737-800. Pushback finished, an A380 emerges from the gloom... A passenger snaps another 380 just after take off... Taxiing out in the murk Not much to see on the departure but here we've just broken through It was pretty cloudy the whole way and most of it was spent out to sea, here we are in the intermediate approach with the coast of Newfoundland visible under the clouds. A couple of approach pics... Parked up at St Johns From here, the online flight trackers seemed to suggest the aircraft carries on to Toronto, in for a penny... Passenger views shortly after take off No avoiding these clouds eh? Some AI.. Sun starting to set as we approach CYYZ Passenger view during the descent Descending into more dreary weather Short final with the one ahead just about to vacate. Parked at the gate. At this point we needed to get back to London to continue the A340 challenge, cue a 787 flight back to EGLL (here)... Edited July 3, 20196 yr by iwebber Added links
