July 3, 20196 yr My penultimate A340 flight (here) left me in KJFK and after a fairly recent purchase of Drzewiecki Designs New York City X I thought I'd have a little helicopter tour of Manhattan. Parked up near the United hanger on the north west of the airfield. Over Prospect Park (I think) heading towards the East River Following Flatbush Ave north to the Manhattan Bridge Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges Quick stop at Downtown Manhattan Heliport Heading towards the Statue of Liberty Closer look Ellis Island Heading back to Manhattan, the Freedom Tower standing tall. USS Intrepid and Concode G-BOAD, not sure what that line going underneath Concorde is though... Back down to the West 30th St Heliport Heading east looking south towards Tribeca Looking north to Central Park Empire State Building with its airship mooring spire Chrysler building and Metlife Building Flying south in Central Park over the MOMA (on the bottom left) Over the East River looking north west Watching a container ship pass Heading back to JFK Parking back where I started (roughly) with the city skyline in the background.
