Fuel pump sounds in Bill's V3.1 mod

There aren't any.  Spent a few hours, off and on, yesterday trying to figure out why there is no sound for the fuel pumps when I turn them on.  Just goes to show I don't understand how those blankety-blank sound files work and how they're called from the main program.  Even the default P3D sound file, "fuel_pump", isn't called up on queue, much less the "jetfuelpump" sound file, which sounds great, even when a slight adjustment to the sound.cfg in Bill's sound.1 folder is made.  Anybody know what I can try, or is it a fool's errand?
