P3D 4.5 - "Not Responding" when loading

Featured Replies

I am on P3D 4.5 (haven't installed hot fix yet)

sometimes it actually gets to the load % screen, other times not. Just clocks and then freezez (Not Responding at the top of the window)

Any ideas?

The AVSIM CTD Guide, page 33, has some suggestions used by others to fix this problem.  If the loading is not getting past 0% then it could be a module in the dll.xml or you are trying to load scenery that is not compatible with 64-bit simulators.  It also could be a corrupted P3D.cfg and you should rename it to p3d.off and see if that fixes the problem.

I have never installed the hotfix and have not had any problems.  Believe some have stated the hotfix repairs framerates?  I have great FPS.  Page 10, AVSIM CTD Guide provides instructions for fixing almost all P3D freezes and crashes.

What's strange is that this issue just randomly popped up. I haven't changed anything - no new add-ons
