Hello @ll,

WAMA has been updated to 1.17 b08. This fixes the bug where WAMA would throw an error when searching through the users scenery for addon airports when it encounters scenery area titles in a certain format.

The new version has been deployed to the shops and should be available in your account shortly.

Hi Oliver

Is it possible with the inject sim objects feature, to spawn a tent next to my aircraft?

i guess a tent would be a scenery object? But so are ground vehicles aren’t they? 🤷‍♂️

🙂

Hello Luke,

it is not possible to create scenery objects with SimConnect, so WAMA can't do that directly.

You would have to provide a tent as simobject. There are several ways for that, find one in the online libraries on AVSIM etc., turn a scenery object into a simobject or make one from scratch.

Have you seen that tent in your simulator already, and if you did, where? And what simulator are we talking about?

Edit: there are several tents in the default "generic.bgl" scenery library file (P3D v4.5). There are two large military looking structures and several small colorful hiker's tents. Were you looking for those?

Best regards

Fsx

No I haven’t seen one, I was thinking there may be one within Fsx scenery library that cud be used/injected..(if there was one of course), or like you say D/L one.

If one is available, it can be done?

Hello Luke,

It is easy to extract objects from a default BGL using ModelConverterX, and then turning them into SimObjects. Are we talking about FSX?

If you want, send me a PM here or an email to the address on the last page of the WAMA manual - with proof of purchase for WAMA (order number and shop). I can make those objects for you, that only takes a couple of minutes.

Best regards

Any preference regarding color? There are a couple to choose from.

Be aware though, that those tents are bound to their geographical location, not your aircraft. Which means, that when you leave, you leave them behind, standing around in the scenery - unless you remove them from WAMA again.

yes i thought that would be the case, but this doesn't cause any unwanted effects does it? always moving the tent with the aircraft, so inject, remove, inject, remove ect.

(ill send you a pm now too)

No ill effects that I know of. Only additional work for you. I would probably create a scene in WAMA called "Campsite", and always put the tents in there. You can leave them be too, so when you return to that spot at some point in the future, the tent will still be there.
