As one would expect with a Carenado aircraft, this looks like a very nice product visually but why such an uninspiring collection of liveries? There were quite a few well known operators of this early commuter aircraft including Golden West, Piedmont Commuter, Time Air, Allegheny Commuter, Command Airways and Mississippi Valley Airways in North America and Air UK, Loganair, British Caledonian Commuter and DLT in Europe to mention just a few.

Although I’m sure the generous repainters will come up with many of these liveries in due course, it would have been nice to see at least some of these feature amongst the liveries offered in this package rather than what seems like a fairly random selection of mainly anonymous colour schemes.

Bill, I am not a generous painter indeed, but I did a lot in the past and published most of them, also for Carenado models. I like the S330 very much, but without having something like a paintkit it is nearly impossible to do proper repaints. Look only to the both tail rudders and their weird detail mappings on stripes/bones. Why do you think Carendo didn't finish the Aer Lingus-repaint?

At least its a shame, this is a modelling issue that could be fixed with "one" click.

Thomas, I have no idea why they didn't finish the Aer Lingus repaint. I would have thought the ridges on the rudders would not have been a particularly difficult problem for them as they have managed to complete tail colours over these ridges on some other 330s. But on this one they even got the registration wrong as there never was a Shorts 330 with the registration EI-BEP, this registration being carried by a Socata MS892 Rallye. In fact Aer Lingus's only S330 was EI-BEG, as shown in your photograph, although, apparently because they felt the word 'BEG' was inappropriate for one of their fleet, this aircraft was later re-registered EI-BEH!
