Cannot delete manually assigned ATC audio file

Featured Replies

Hi! I bought ATC-Chatter and installed everything as described. Couldn't hear any chatter so I manually assigned a file to Clearance Delivery for testing purposes.

That didn't solve the problem, but something else did. So everything is fine now except that I can't get rid of the Clearance Delivery File. The Clr-Button does not react to klicking, and it doen't get its blue frame either unless moving the mouse pointer away, so I guess it's some problem in the code. Is there a manual way to delete that manually assigned sound file? Looked into different .xml files under <user>\APPData\Roaming\P2A_200\Settings but didn't find that entry.

Happy for help, as it is a bit unnerving hearing a dutch saying same thing to a 737-800 pilot over and over again 🙂

Greetings

Thomas

Thomas,

This is a know bug and has been fixed for the next update.

In the meantime, as a work-around, you can look in the APPSettings.xml file for an entry like:

  <AppSetting>
    <Name>ClearanceDelAudio</Name>
    <Value>C:\P2A_2018_x64\Sounds\ATC_Chatter\Controllers\Clr\002 -CL.mp3</Value>
    <LastChanged>2019-08-30T06:47:44.5400894-05:00</LastChanged>
  </AppSetting>

The <Value> setting will be the path of the file you set.  Delete the entire entry as in bold above.

The AppSettings.xml file is located at

c:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Settings\Settings.xml
where <UserName> is your PC User Name.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
