P4AO references package not there

Featured Replies

Hi-

I keep getting this warning dialog after removing STB from my system. I go to the 'Packages' tab in P4AO and there's nothing there.

How do I keep this from appearing?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi,

there reference to STB in one or both of the add-ons.cfg files is still there, that is why you are getting this message.

When you know for sure that you deleted the packages, just press "Ignore" and then "Save" in P4AO. This will clear out the package references, wherever they are.

Hi-

I did find the references in roaming and deleted them.

Thanks,

P4AO would have done the same thing with "Ignore" and then "Save".

But you shouldn't have to. The add-ons.cfg in \Roaming is controlled by the simulator. After you have started the sim once and shut it down again, the file should only contain addon references that are really there. And never should it be necessary to edit this file manually! There was a bug in P3D 4.4 where this file would not be handled correctly by the sim itself, but that has been fixed in 4.5
