The AVSIM Tech, Brian Sperduto, made a major update to the site yesterday.  I am sure he is now tweaking the site.  Back in the days when the owner of AVSIM did all of the updates, he would post a notice at the top of the forums and let everyone know the site might be down for a couple of days until the upgrade was complete.  He could never get the upgrade to work so had to revert to the previous version.  After Tom's passing, Brian came in and was able to update the site.  It was difficult but he managed to get the site updated.  Yesterday he installed a major update to include updates for several security issues.  Whenever there is an update like this, there are bound to be problems until the site is tweaked and running normally.  The site developer included software to make it easier to make updates in the future.  I hope this is the case as we seem to have issues like some are experiencing everytime.  I have noticed that the inability to post goes away after a few minutes.  One recommendation is to hit the F5 key to refresh the page to see if the issue has gone away.  Apologize for the inconvenience but the site had to be updated and the weekends are the best times to complete this important action.

Best regards,

Jim

I am currently suffering the same problem of not being able to post a reply.  I tried my suggestion of refreshing the page but that wipes out the post (posts stay in the Editor so you should see the post again when you try again to submit a reply).  I have notified the AVSIM Tech.
