pilot2atc without Navigraph - what features do I lose

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm very interested in your product but looking to clear up if I need Navigraph, which I'd rather not get into a subscription.   I primarily will be flying prop planes.  With that I'd like to know what features do I lose if I don't use Navigraph.   I like both VFR and IFR flying as well.

Appreciated

Navigraph provides the data used by P2A and numerous aircraft, other add-ons and the SIMs for Airport and navigational information.  It is updated on a monthly basis.  The 1803 version of this data comes with Pilot2ATC.  A different version comes with X-Plane/P3D and still other versions will come with other add-ons.  So without getting at least one month's worth of fresh data from Navigraph, you will have differences in the data that can cause issues like runways missing at airports or more likely, the inability to load a flight plan without errors.

So, if you are going to fly IFR, you will eventually want to update your data at least a couple of times a year.

If you were only flying VFR, the case is less compelling, but at least a single update would be worthwhile to get your SIM and add-ons all in sync.
