October 12, 20196 yr Hi there, Today i wanted to try trial version of P2A, but despite i fulfill all requirements which P2A needs, it won't recognize my speech. Also, Speech Recognation Voice Training works and recognize my speech, but grammer helper does not. By the way, i installed and selected as default U.S. English Language Pack, Speech Pack, and tried two different microphone. Thank you.
October 12, 20196 yr Commercial Member In Grammar Helper, there is a "Replay" button. After speaking, press the Replay button and see if you can hear yourself saying the phrase. If the sound is distorted or low, or no sound is heard at all, the problem is likely with your microphone settings. Dave

I tried one usb, and one 3.5mm microphone, and they work without any problem in any program in Windows, except P2A. Also i tried different sample and bit rates, and unchecked the "give exclusive mode application priority" in mic properties. Additionally, according to "Speech Recognition Information" pop out screen everything looks fine.
October 12, 20196 yr Commercial Member Is the microphone set as the default Windows Audio Input device? Are there any other audio input devices? If so, try disabling them. Check to be sure any other programs that use the microphone are not "capturing" it. Some users have had that problem. Dave

I believe i did everything i can, but probably missing something. Also, i checked the previous posts which are on same problem, and followed yours and others instructions' to solve it, but nothing matters right now. Thank you.
October 13, 20196 yr Commercial Member Here are some less common issues with microphones: If you are using a headset, Windows may recognize that and put a set of "level" settings on the Levels tab of the Headphone Properties. To set these, select the Headset in the playback devices Windows Settings and press "Properties". Select the Levels tab. Be sure all levels are turned up If you have a headset mic set as the default Recording/Audio Input device, be sure and set the Headset as the Default Playback/Audio Output device. Some users have had their microphone not working because they set their Speakers as the Playback device. If using a headset as the default Playback/Recording device, be sure it is not also being used as the Default Communications Device. This assignment of multiple duties seems to cause a problem. Many PCs come with Sound Add On programs from the manufacturer that are run at startup. Some of these programs may "Capture" the microphone and prevent Pilot2ATC from hearing it. Also, some addons may have such features. Check to be sure there are not other sound programs running. Also be sure that you have the latest Audio Drivers for your Microphone installed. Dave

Dave Thank you again. But i do not use a headset. I checked all those steps many times, but could not see anything wrong. I just reinstalled my sound driver (latest), and nothing changed again. The thing is, while Windows' own "Speech Recognation Voice Training" can recognize my voice, P2A can not. Maybe it is just me, but i could not find a way to solve it.
