Hawker 850XP lifting off from Brisbane International

Featured Replies

Carenado's H850XP is a nice plane to fly in our SIM, but, I recall flying it just once nearly a year ago...so, today, I thought of enjoying (and sharing) another flight with it...

This plane is the culmination of what's regarded as the world's longest-running corporate-jet program (DH-125 -> HS-125 -> BAe-125 -> Beechcraft Hawker 800). The 800 Series embraces the unique heritage of 5 different manufacturers: (1) De Havilland (DH) (2) Hawker Siddeley (HS) (3) British Aerospace (BAe) (4) Raytheon (5) Hawker Beechcraft (HBC). The root, DH-125, one of the world's first and most successful executive jets had first flown in 1962 (Side Note: The Lockheed Jetstar (along with T-39 Sabreliner), that predate the DH-125, are cited as the very first dedicated Bizjets to enter service). And, Hawker Beechcraft BizJet production stopped in 2013 (after more than half-century of continuous evolution).

So, please find, below, a few sample images of this impressive BizJet taking off from the Brisbane Intl. Airport (against the glow of dawn). I've combined, here, one of my least used airport add-ons (Orbx YBBN) with this aircraft in a fictional Venezuela color - note the flag (a livery that happened to catch my attention from an on-line search today). Hope you enjoy. Thanks for viewing. [Carenado(H850)/Orbx(YBBN)/REX]
