AI aircraft compatibility with FSX

Featured Replies

Hello allJust wondering if anyone tried ai aircraft such as AArdvark,FSP,CDAIetc.. into FSX and if the actual flightplan format works as well..Do they behave strangly or everything is ok?Cosmo

Lots of testing of AI and discussion on the AI forums.Basically - the aircraft appear to fly just fine.We will have to make changes to the aircraft.cfg airplane_geometry wing_span= entries because those appear to be the value used to decide parking spot sixe in FSX.Changing that value does not appear to change the flight dynamics of the aircraft. The flight plan format appears to work, but additional parts of the flight plan cycle probably mean that some realistic flight plans with tight turn arounds are not going to be possible. There is still a lot of testing needed before we know what really does and does not work.
