September 11, 200619 yr Hey everyone, I can't believe I'm asking an FSX question after complaining to myself about swimming through all of the new exciting posts looking for FS9 stuff. I quess it was just a matter of time before I got the bug. I am really looking forward to FSX as it gets closer. I don't know if this has been asked already. If so, sorry to repeat the same again. OK, I have FS9 installed now of course. Will installing the FSX Demo on the same drive, cause any problems with my exsisting FS9 installation in any way? I was really curious to check out the CRJ's VC and other features, performance etc... Or, should I just wait for the retail version, as I am not missing much right now. Thanks for your input as always.
September 11, 200619 yr Author Hi Jeff,I have installed and removed the demo without any effect upon FS9. I now have the beta running and switch back in forth all the time. So far, no problems.Bob.. Bob Prince
September 11, 200619 yr I have installed it and removed it without issues, but I've read where other's have said it did change things on their FS9. So I couldn't tell you for sure or not, just know it worked fine for me
September 11, 200619 yr Thanks for your replies guys. As you probably know, many months go into getting things installed and working correctly (in my case) with FS9, so I was a bit unsure wether to try the demo. I quess I will give it a shot. By the way, as I have not been following all the details about FSX, the Beta version, I assume is available to just the beta testers only? Thanks again.
September 11, 200619 yr Author As of last week, the "beta" was still available on File PLanet. You must subscribe to File Planet to download it, and there are no additional keys left to unlock all of the features. The downside is a 30 minute time limit (like the demo) and multilayer is not activated. But, you do have the whole world to play in for 30 minutes at a time. :)Bob... Bob Prince
