fs design studio and FSX

Featured Replies

fs design studio v3, can we design scenery for fsx.

From what I have seen, most existing scenery works in FSX, so continuing to make it the same way should work. I know that the MakeMDL will be scraped for a newer exporter using the .X file formats, which I believe the latest FSDS3 exports, so you should be good. Only main differences I have seen are more robust animation options in FSX.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/ambanner.jpg

thanks a lot, going to start working on somthing now

Hi,FSDS3 objects should work the same as GMAX objects do - in the demo and beta they show up fine but:1. Any untextured opaque material will display black.2. Any untextured transparent material (no matter how transparent) will be perfectly clear.3. The night textures will not light up (hopefully fixed in the final release???).Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
