Hi,

I'm having a really hard time to understand the use and benefit of an engine manual start and ignition panel on my A320?
What exactly is the difference between a normal engine start and a manual engine start and when does the manual engine start become necessary?
How is a manual start carried out correctly?
I found some explanations on wikipedia and youtube, which unfortunately left more questions than answers. Maybe someone can explain it more simple for me.
