Ground Environment II Pro

Recommended Posts

Hi,Could someone please explain to me what this screen in Ground Environment II Pro is for?I also have Ultimate Terrain - Europe installed and for that reason I have checked the UT Golf Courses and UT Industrial Areas options but then when I fire up the program the checkmarks are gone?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/156972.jpg

That is your selection page where you choose what to install, as well as creating a backup of FS bacic testures and getting updates (213 is out BTW)You should install the Day and Night textures as well as the UT ones, since you say you have UT Europe.Once done, go back to the main menu and click the 'System Status' button and you will see what is and isn't installed.Don't ask me why it's like this, I don't have a clue, to me it's a bit redundent but thats the wat it works.Hope this helps

The Base Install page is for the... base install. Once you've selected the boxes that are relevant for you and your setup you click `save and install` and the BASIC texture sets are istalled. The default unchecked option is to allow you to RESTORE BACKUP, another option of the same page, so it will be unchecked after you've run it as it is an options screen, not an indicator of what you have installed at that moment, as that is defined on another page.Did you check those boxes, then run `Save & Install`? Did it install textures to FS? Then you're done. Unless or until you want to change things.Allcott

OK, thanks guys!I did check all the boxes and chose Save & Install which seemed to work just fine. But...since I then after getting back noticed the checkboxes were now not checked I figured maybe I had to do it again...especially the UT boxes since I have UT installed to make sure all programs work in the best possible way together.Well...anyway FS is looking better than ever before now so I guess I should go flying instead of lurking around in the menus getting confused ;-)About the update...thanks, will get the latest version!About the support forum for GEPro...tried that one before I posted my question here since I for some reason couldn't register myself in their forum...some cookie problem I guess...

Hi All,Just to let everyone know, those check marks are not saved when GEP is closed. It is just important that you mark the correct boxes one time and then click on the Save and Install button. Yes, next time the checks will be gone, but you don't need to go throught anything again. It is just part of the program design right now. Thanks Everyone,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
