IFLY 747 repaints

Hi all,after seeing that the IFly747 came highly recommended, I downloaded this aircraft. But the standard liverys it had dont fit in with Eupopean scenery. So I downloaded ifly744_sid_star_rep.zip, to aquire more realistic paint jobs.Now to the problem, in the readme is the instruction to merge the .mrg file with the .cfg file.Question how is this Merge doneWill the .cfg file still require the new aircraft to be added ie fltsim.xx and all the other modsRegards JohnTJohnT

Hello John:I am not sure that I am interpreting your question correctly, but yes, you will have to have the added textures for each livery in your iFly 747-400 folder, and edit your aircraft.cfg file for the additional livery text. I agree the liveries are somewhat limited, especially for North America. Quite some time ago I thought one post implied that something was in the making for this, but it has never progressed to my knowledge. The Stars and Sids still may leave a little bit to be desired, but this bird is certainly one of the best freeware offerings available IMHO.I have attached a copy of my aircraft.cfg below for whatever it may be worth which includes the repaints. Thanks rhodges,Ive put them in now, now to read the manual and try to fly this plane.Had a small go but w'out using the FMC but for some reason could not engage the Autopilot, need to get my reading glasses on.Regards JohnT

Hello again John:For what it may be worth, a new repaint for an ElAl texture was posted yesterday (textureelal2005.zip). It looks pretty good and seems to have a little different reflection provisions from what I have noticed before that are pretty neat. A paintkit was finally posted as well, so we may be seeing a number of new liveries available now from those talented folks that make those contributions.Happy flying:RTH
