November 23, 20196 yr Hi All, I've just done a full resinstall of P3D 4.5HF2 and am having a small issue with LINDA and FSUIPC. In the LINDA GUI "SETUP LINDA" I have ticked "Start GUI with SIM" and "DISPLAY SPLASH" however neither seems to occur when loading P3D. When the P3D splash screen appears I hear a 'ding' (as if to indicate an error message) but no dialog box appears to tell me what it might be. If I load the LINDA GUI manually and then start P3D I don't hear the ding so I'm sure it's a warning or error that LINDA wasn't/couldn't be started. Once in the sim I need to load LINDA Manually. All the LINDA files are in the \MODULES folder with FSUIPC. I note that in my FSUIPC.INI file the following appears [LuaFiles] 1=ipcReady 2=linda [Programs] RunIf1=CLOSE,D:\P3D\Modules\linda.exe So I presume that is whats trying to load LINDA during startup and somehow failing. It's not and of the war problem but it is annoying. Anybody think of a fix or what I'm doing wrong? November 24, 20196 yr Hi Kael The [programs] entry in FSUIPC5.log is correct and should start the LINDA GUI automatically when P3Dv4 starts. This entry is inserted with you tick the Start GUI with Sim checkbox. The [LauFiles] entries are added by FSUIPC5 itself from the .lua files found in the /modules folder. Yours are also correct. There can be an issue that occurs when LINDA closes. This displays a dialog 'Not enough timers' which will prevent LINDA being started manually or automatically. This will produce the error ding you are hearing. It has to be closed first. Check the Windows Task Manager to see what Apps and Background Processes to see that no LINDA entries exist before you start P3Dv4. Ensure that both P3Dv4 and LINDA.exe are running in Admin mode (right click Compatibity/Run as Admin). November 27, 20196 yr Author Hi Andrew, Thanks for the reply - unfortuantly I'm no closer to solving the problem. LINDA.EXE is ticked to run as admin. The problem I get (of LINDA not loading on P3D startup) occurs after a restart or first load - I've double checked and there are no instances of Linda or P3D running prior. Any other ideas? It's an odd one - it should be pretty simple. I can hear the 'DING' so it's like P3D is trying to run it but it's throwing an error.
