Installation problems with PMDG NGXU ( Module Version 14

Recommended Posts

@tomast Thank you for the Edit Aircraft Module screenshots. Due to the PMDG 737 add-on naming convention there is no way LINDA can distinguish between the old 737NGX and 737NGXu (search strings NGX and NGXu respectively). The conclusion is that only one of the aircraft can be referenced at anyone time.

There is no need to uninstall the PMDG 737 aircraft. All you need to do is to delete one of the following LINDA module folders:

/modules/linda/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGX

OR

/modules/linda/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGXu

This retains all LINDA settings for both aircraft. Simply reinstall the appropriate LINDA module when you wish to change aircraft.

Thank you for your patience and help.

hi guys

thanks for the clarifications
I had already taken steps to remove NGX from both LINDA and LINDA-CFG folders. So I set all the switches on NGXu
As per your suggestion, I removed NGX from the LINDA folder only, NGXu works
With a little handcuffing, I noticed that just removing NGX from LINDA when using NGXu, I put it back when using NGX.
So to conclude I delete the NGX folder by putting it in the trash when I use NGXu, restore the NGX folder from the trash in order to use it, it is not necessary to remove NGXu
when we talk about LINDA and LINDA-cfg we mean the aircrafts of these
Who knows if one day you can bring them together

ciao

PS: then the day will come when I close NGX
