Detailed airport tweaks?

Featured Replies

Hi,I have applied a couple of the suggestions that have improved my frame rates substantially in rural areas. They include Matt Fox's tree edit and JeanLuc's edits to the Shader values. (Thanks!) I can maintain solid 20's with scenery complexity and mesh complexity full right, auto - gen normal. Which is great, however, when I get in the vicinity of a detailed airport I get a slide show. And I don't remember that occurring with the FP beta.As an example my best frame rate is around 13 fps (it is slide show) at KLAX with the following:Auto-gen - offScenery Complexity - full LEFT (No Terminals etc).Mesh Complexity - full LeftTraffic - 15%1280 x 960 32Am I correct in assuming the large textures are the problem? I don't understand why the FP is in the tank when KLAX is just runways and a few airport vehicles (no buildings). Thanks in advance.Bob..... In my system what kills FPS in big cities (besides autogen) is the road traffic.Jos
