January 9, 20206 yr Hi Guys, I've just explored the config file, and I'm wondering how some of the settings work exactly. It's not in the ordinary manual and I understand that fiddling around in the config can be dangerous, but what do the following settings do exactly: TrainingCompleted=1 RandomFailures=0 TweakFsConfig=1 LoudData=0 AllowActionOnEvent=0 [SKILL] Tol3=030,030,400,900,100,100,100,050 Tol2=020,020,200,700,075,075,075,030 Tol1=010,010,100,500,050,050,050,020 Tol0=005,005,050,300,025,025,025,010 IgnoreFlightPlan=0 FlightPlansPath= FoAlwaysDialsVHF=0 FoAlwaysDialsAfs=0 [SPLASH] NoSound=0 [CAT_III] FlightCalloutHeight= FlightCalloutText= GroundCalloutSpeed= GroundCalloutText= I'd like to understand the config file better... what is all this mess?! Regards

It's not in the ordinary manual and I understand that fiddling around in the config can be dangerous, but what do the following settings do exactly: TrainingCompleted=1 Just reminds MCE, no need to pop-up the wizard, as speech training is already completed RandomFailures=0 (Not yet functional in X-Plane at this stage) TweakFsConfig=1 (Not uswd in X-Plane) LoudData=0 (Some Blind Visually Impaired pilots (yes, there are some), need this feature to give them audio feedback regarding flight parameters. AllowActionOnEvent=0 (Not implemented in X-Plane, due to lack of events at this stage) [SKILL] (Relates to tolerances in terms of heading, speed and alt deviation when enabling "nagging feature" as per selected profociency level in <Monitor> tab Tol3=030,030,400,900,100,100,100,050 Tol2=020,020,200,700,075,075,075,030 Tol1=010,010,100,500,050,050,050,020 Tol0=005,005,050,300,025,025,025,010 IgnoreFlightPlan=0 (MCE supports Radr Contact and PF3 ATC systems). Option is enabled when for some reason, it's not possible to read flight plan FlightPlansPath= To be used with Radr Contact ATC or PF3 ATC. You set the path when MCE is unable to work it out automatically FoAlwaysDialsVHF=0 (to be used with radar Contact and PF3 ATC. FO gets freq from ATC and dials it) FoAlwaysDialsAfs=0 (to be used with radar Contact and PF3 ATC. With PF3, FO gets clearance and dials whatever is needed in MCP, heading, assigned alt, squawk) [SPLASH] NoSound=0 (Just mutes the audio that goes with the splash screen while MCE is loading in the background [CAT_III] applies to CAT III approaches only FlightCalloutHeight= set the height at which a specific call-out is to be made in-flight FlightCalloutText= write the call out you want to hear in-flight GroundCalloutSpeed=set the speed below which a specific call-out is to be made on ground GroundCalloutText=write the call out you want to hear after landing and getting under the assigned speed I'd like to understand the config file better... what is all this mess?! January 9, 20206 yr Author Awesome, thank you! This [CAT_III] applies to CAT III approaches onlyFlightCalloutHeight= set the height at which a specific call-out is to be made in-flightFlightCalloutText= write the call out you want to hear in-flightGroundCalloutSpeed=set the speed below which a specific call-out is to be made on groundGroundCalloutText=write the call out you want to hear after landing and getting under the assigned speed Is very much what I've been looking for! Could you make more of these, like after takeoff etc?
January 26, 20206 yr Author Another question about the config file: What on earth is "FlyingAsCopilot=0" ?! If I set this to 1 then he'll be the captain?!^^
