Logbook Problem - Reinstall of FS9

Featured Replies

I have had to reinstall FS9 and all my add-ons. I have my logbook.log in the right place, but whenever I try to make a logbook entry, FS9 says I can't do so. What do I need to do to have FS9 recognize my logbook that has well over 500 hours worth of entries? Thanks.

Chuck,I seem to recall some issue along those lines once before. I think my solution was to keep the old log as .txt for sentimental reasons and let the new (but working log) carry on -- but I just manually added the old totals to the new log and it carried happily on.... it appears that it just adds new data to whatever totals are already at the botom. I did remember (in time) to bring over all the aircraft state.cfg files that had the engine hours in them so I didn't lose the aircraft hours.STANDARD PILOT LOGFS2000 DATE AIRCRAFT MODEL TO/FROM/REMARKS DAY NIGHT INST. Thanks Loyd. I found out what to do. I had to go into my FS9.config and retype LOGBOOK in that section. Once I "reset" it, everything is working fine. Thanks again.
