P3D4.5 crashing if going into options menu

Featured Replies

Hi I am not sure what i have done to my set up but i am trying to change some settings in my P3D4 options menu and the sim crashes to desktop if i try to enter it.  If i go to my saved flight or set a flight up without needing to change any options everything appears ok.

Never seen anything like this before, can anyone provide any suggestions to solve the issue?

In my appcrashview it says "the string binding is invalid" and the fault module name is KERNELBASE.dll

I am not sure what this means.  Any help most appreciated.

try deleting your p3d.cfg then rerun the sim and it will automatically rebuild it

For those interested- a system restore sorted the issue out.

Still not sure what caused the problem though.
