Error installing FSX

Featured Replies

It almost gets to the last minute of installing and a ERROR 1305: Error reading from file C:program filesmicrosoft games/microsoft flight simulator XsceneryEURWtextureCologneDomMesse_Specular.dds. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. This message appears. I checked the folder it refers to and the file is there. Anyone else get this problem on install?Jack

YesThe error occurs on the 2nd DVD and stops coping files to the hard drive. The fix is to remove the DVD from the drive and wipe clean. DO NOT cancel the installation. When you reinsert the DVD, FSX should continue to finish the load process.

Oops, I mis-read your problem! I was just about to post the solution to the 1935 SimConnect error issue,Forgive me (exits stage left...)

Hello mate, I got the simconnect trouble. was so looking forwards to today and got that annoying message right at the end of the installation process. please help if you read this post.

I had the same installation problem and it worked fine on the 2nd attempt after I wiped the disk clean (always from the inside out, not in a circular motion!) and after a reboot. There must have been some residue on the disk or micro scratches.
