February 16, 20206 yr Hi pilots, since a few days I‘m a proud owner of the Airfoillabs King Air. After the first flight it looks overwhelming to me but I‘m learning the systems step by step. Very high workload compared to the usual Bizets but very immersive and very well done.
February 16, 20206 yr Hi Ralf! One question - how does it do with FF variation due to RPM cycling at fixed throttle / condition / altitude ? I mean - set it flying level, wahtch the FF ( I believe you only have a digital display in that aircraft panel ? ) and then cycle ( or simply increase / decrease ) the RPM by moving the levers and watch the FF ... Does it vary ? It shouldn't, but X-Plane's free-running turboprop model isn't still there... Maybe they programmed it outside of XP's core ? I'm curious ... February 16, 20206 yr Thanks Ralf - just watched it... Unfortunately - it does vary and that's totally wrong... Have called Austin's atention for it... He finally once mentioned that the new turboprop he owns might help him fine tunning that aspect to, but that was long ago... Maybe for XP12 AFAIK other than possible add-ons that do it by plugin programming, only ELITE does it right with their B200 Kingair. Other than that, the video reveals a really nice looking graphics! February 16, 20206 yr Author I watched it again and must admit, there is abbey light movement of the analog gauge. You are right. Btw, I like the 2d pop up panels that made the video possible. A great help to fly a complex plane single hand.
