October 13, 200619 yr i read the camera SDK, but must have missed it...how to remove certain views from the cycle? removing camera sections from aircraft.cfg doesn't do the trick, as if there had been a "default" cycle somewhereit must be possible since different aircraft have different views in their cycles. it's aircraft-dependent since swapping aircraft in the same flight changes the cycleand it better be possible as the very useful view from a tower thirty miles off mips all textures around the aircraft to nil leaving the sim to grind for a minute reloading them back in the spot view:-)thanks all
October 13, 200619 yr I remember from the demo that there's is also a camera.cfg file. Didn't try it but maybe that does the trick.Regards, Gerrit Gerrit
November 5, 200619 yr If you edit the cameras.cfg under the following path you can. C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataMicrosoftFSXSimply add the line "CycleHidden=Yes" to the views you wish to disable.Cameras.cfg defines the "S" key toggles while the custom "A" key toggles for each plane are defined in the aircraft.cfg.Phil
November 5, 200619 yr I also posted this in that 'other post' ;) but I'll repeat it here: An even better solution is not to cycle at all! Cycling is a waste of time, having to go through all kinds of views you don't need... You can assign hotkeys to up to 10 views: with a single click of a key you are where you want to be! I never ever use more than 10 views, so... Once you've used hotkeys you never ever want to cycle again (although you still can if you really want or need to).Read more about hotkeys here:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=368544&page=3
November 5, 200619 yr >Cameras.cfg defines the "S" key toggles while the custom "A">key toggles for each plane are defined in the aircraft.cfg.Not quit right. 'S' cycles through all different viewing modes, while 'A' cycles through all views IN those modes. When for instance you press S until you have reached the Outside view mode, pressing A will cycle through all Outside views (Spot, Locked Spot, etc.): you will find all those A-views are defined in the Cameras.cfg file... (which btw can be different for every mode). So to define the difference between the two cfg files (as far as views are concerned) it's better to say that Cameras.cfg contains default views that are used by all aircraft, while the Aicraft.cfg contains views that are aircraft specific.
