March 1, 20206 yr Hi there, firstly let me say that I'm very happy about the move to ORBX; no more problems with activations, plus profiles can be stored locally. FANTASTIC! However, an old problem has reared its ugly head again for me again. After the v1.1.67 update, ChasePlane has stopped working in FSX and FSX:SE. I subsequently uninstalled and reinstalled TrackIR software and it worked one day, but the next day it wouldn't work again. The aircraft symbol (top left of ChasePlane software) goes green when I start FSX or FSX:SE, but the TrackIR symbol disappears completely and there is no tracking taking place with only the left green light lit on the TrackIR eye. I had a lot of problems with this in the past and never found a solution, stopped flight sims for a while and only recently started again after upgrading my system. So, this is a brand new PC (finally downgraded to Win10), but still have the same problem. ChasePlane worked fine when I used a fresh install of v1.1.65, but it seems that every update breaks its functionality with FSX for some inexplicable reason. This has been the case also before the move to ORBX. I personally have yet to see if there's any advantage to the users after the move from OldProp to ORBX platform, except for the fact that if you remain in the old platform you won't have rights to update your current version. As for your question, I recommend to look for help at the ORBX forums, on which they already have a support area. They seem not to be responding over here. March 2, 20206 yr Author Great thanks for the tip Ed! i7-12700KF, RTX 3080 12GB, 64GB DDR4 3600MHz, ASUS PG348Q 34" ultra-wide monitor, Track IR 5, HP Reverb G2, Windows 10 64-bit
March 8, 20206 yr Author It seems the v1.1.69 update fixed the problem. FSX now works as well as P3D with ChasePlane. They seem to break FSX with every other update and then fix it again a few updates later!? Really wish we'd get an FSX stable release, as that sim is not changing anymore and it really doesn't need this constant flow of updates. Whatever they seem to be doing on the P3D side, breaks FSX every now and then. i7-12700KF, RTX 3080 12GB, 64GB DDR4 3600MHz, ASUS PG348Q 34" ultra-wide monitor, Track IR 5, HP Reverb G2, Windows 10 64-bit
